A Grok Bot experiment: run a boring directory site on autopilot
The author outlines a Grok Bot workflow that finds unanswered complaints, builds a niche directory, drafts pages, pitches affiliates and sends weekly reports, with humans only approving.
I hate how much I want to try this Elon Musk recently tweeted: "stop building startups. buy boring internet real estate and let bots run it" a directory for something boring as hell. the kind of thing you google because you need an answer, not another app here's the experiment I'd run with Grok Bot: → create a bot and name it Landlord → send it looking for the same unanswered complaints across X and Reddit. make it bring back links → pick one narrow niche and have it build a useful directory → schedule one new page draft every night. check the facts before publishing → have it find affiliate programs and draft the emails. you approve anything sent in your name → ask for a weekly report: where visitors came from, what they clicked, what you spent and which page to build next I'd start embarrassingly small. one niche. a site you can explain in a sentence. enough useful information that you'd send someone the link yourself the bot can work through the backlog while your laptop is shut but people still have to want the result. another hundred pages won't save a site nobody needs now open that folder of business ideas you've been saving for two years. give the bot one. make it come back with something you can inspect the chief of staff setup, approval rules and routines that won't eat through your usage are in my article below ↓
