OSC 7501 terminal status protocol adopted by major coding agents
OSC 7501, proposed by Ghostty's author, lets agents report working, waiting, done or error states to the terminal; Claude Code and Grok Build already support it, and Codex's adaptation is merged but not yet released.
Ghostty 作者 Mitchell Hashimoto 提出的终端状态协议 OSC 7501，已经陆续获得主流 Coding Agent 的接入。Anthropic 的 Claude Code v2.1.295、xAI 的 Grok Build v1.0.52 已正式支持，OpenAI 也在 GitHub 合并了 Codex 的适配代码，但尚未进入最新稳定版。 OSC 7501 让 Agent 主动告诉终端自己正在工作、等待用户、已经完成还是出错。例如 Claude Code 卡在权限确认时，终端可以直接识别等待状态，不用再通过加载动画和屏幕文字判断。 其他开源 Agent 也在跟进。Pi v1.1.0、Crush v0.98.0、Oh My Pi v18.8.7 和 Docker Agent v1.150.0 都已加入支持。 OpenCode 使用的终端界面框架 OpenTUI，也在 0.6.3 版本加入 OSC 7501 接口，不过 OpenCode 本体的适配代码尚未合并。 终端方面，Rex、cmux、TUIOS 等已经能够接收这些状态，减少为不同 Agent 单独维护检测规则的需要。
