$200/month trading bot vs Grok Bot rebuild: $63 vs $2317
Using open-source REA, the author tore down a paid trading bot to 212 lines of if-statements, had Grok Bot rebuild it with an X-sentiment filter, and ran both with $50 for 24 hours: $63 vs $2317.
I put my $200/month trading bot against a $0 copy running on Grok Bot, $50 each. 24 hours later: $63 vs $2317 i'm still a little f*cking mad about the 4 months I paid for it REA is an open-source tool on GitHub, 351K stars, that lets an agent take apart any app without its source code and build the same feature in your own project. it plugs straight into Grok Build so I pointed it at the bot's web terminal 40 minutes later Grok Build had the answer. the "AI engine" I'd been paying for was 212 lines of if-statements, one public price feed and a hardcoded 4% take profit. my brother was the one who sold me on that bot. he read the code over my shoulder and went quiet Grok Build rebuilt it line for line, then added the one thing the original never had. before every entry the copy searches X for the coin and skips anything the crowd is already screaming about then the rule. both bots get $50 and 24 hours on Robinhood through Grok Bot's connector. whoever finishes lower gets deleted. if the original loses, I cancel the log: > 01:12 original +$3, copy skips, the coin is all over X > 04:37 copy +$62 on a coin nobody was posting about yet > 09:05 original -$9, the 4% target never hits > 15:48 copy +$413 > 23:59 original $63, copy $2317 every trade over $100 waited for my tap on the phone. this is my log, sizing your own money is on you the part I keep coming back to is how boring the paid one was inside. four months of my money went to a price feed and a timer i cancelled at 00:03 send REA this one line and point it at the app you pay the most for: "Understand how the core feature in this app works, show me the evidence, and build a similar version for my project."
