Opus + Jev decision ring: typed state, confidence floor, replayable choices
A demo decision ring where state is packed into typed records, Jev returns a fixed choice plus confidence (dropped below 0.38), and every state-choice pair is indexed for replay; 10,557 decisions at $0.46 and 253ms median.
WHOEVER LEAKED THIS OPUS + JEV DECISION RING DESERVES A NAMED ALGORITHM I thought making an agent decide meant asking the model "pick one" and parsing whatever JSON came back. Apparently not. This ring's setup is much more interesting: → STATE packs the current step into a typed evidence record before any decision call, no raw chat log, no "figure it out from context" → CHOICE returns one of a fixed set with a confidence score, dropped if the score sits under the 0.38 floor, no silent coin flip → REPLAY stores every state-to-choice pair with the step id so a bad run can be re-executed from any point without a rerun → DISPATCH hands the chosen route to one of 12 typed worker queues, each one locked to the schema it was registered under → VALIDATE scores confidence, latency and cost against the baseline per route, flags 4 routes drifting above the median without a reason so you get: States typed. Choices floored. Replays indexed. Dispatches locked. the interesting part isn't making the agent think harder. it's giving every decision a type the next step can't argue with. Instead of parsing 400 tokens of model reasoning to extract a yes or no, you run 10,557 typed decisions for $0.46 at 253ms median and let the confidence floor cut everything below 0.38. Type the state. Floor the choice. Index the replay.
