Kling 4.0 launches: 30-second single-take video and full specs
Kling 4.0 went fully public on Oct 15 with 3–30s single-take clips, up to 10 reference images and 5 reference videos, MCP/CLI support, a rose-to-water comparison against Seedance 2.5, and plan pricing.

Kling AI just launched Kling 4.0, making 30-second videos from one prompt. Here's what you need to know. Kling 4.0 generates a single continuous clip of 3 to 30 seconds. It's one take with no stitching. It went fully public on Oct 15. Kuaishou's Kling team calls it the next-generation model. It also edits video you already have. You can swap a subject, change the season or an outfit, or add a person, and do several changes at once. The actions, cuts and dialogue stay where they were. Creators also say facial expressions and dialogue scenes look much more natural. For control, it takes up to 10 reference images and up to 5 reference videos, with a combined video length of up to 30 seconds. It handles up to 7 subjects and supports voice references. It works with MCP and CLI, so you can drive it from Codex or Claude Code. An API is coming soon. In one rose-to-water test with the same reference and prompt, Kling 4.0 ended in a puddle. Seedance 2.5 still showed glass-like petals.
