DeepSeek V4.1 Flash frontend test: 3D globe dashboard close to reference
A one-prompt plus reference-image rebuild of a 3D globe dashboard in DeepSeek Harness matched the reference on texture, lighting, glass panels and Three.js interactions, kept the logo undistorted, and added day/night modes unprompted; the author rates its taste and detail on par with Opus 5.5.
DeepSeek dropped DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017. So I ran my usual frontend test in DeepSeek Harness: one prompt + one reference image. The task: rebuild a 3D globe dashboard. 🌎 It's a big step up. The globe texture, lighting, depth, glass panels, and Three.js interactions all came out close to the reference. The logo is clean, with no warping. Logos are one of the hardest things for a model to draw. It also built a day mode and a night mode. I've run this test many times, and no other model I tried thought of that. My honest take: on taste and detail, it's on par with Opus 5.5.
