Leaderboard shows Claude and GPT-6 Astra tied at 53
The author notes Claude and Astra are tied for first at 53 with Meta close behind at 48, and argues the gap between labs is shrinking fast, so no single lab will dominate long term.

The AI leaderboard is getting crowded at the top. Claude and GPT-6 Astra are tied at 53, with Meta already at 48 and several other labs sitting surprisingly close behind. What stands out to me isn’t just who’s #1. It’s how quickly the gap is shrinking between the major labs. A few points on a leaderboard can disappear with one model release, and suddenly the whole ranking looks different. That makes me think we’re moving toward a world where there won’t be one permanently dominant AI lab. The real battle will be who can keep improving capability, cost, reliability, and deployment at the same time. And honestly, that competition is getting very interesting.
