Hermes v0.21.5 adds Grok Bot-style assistant features
Hermes v0.21.5 adds Grok Bot-like capabilities including Telegram approval buttons, CAPTCHA handback, learning by demonstration, a morning brief and a weekly time-saved report.
RIP GROK BOT These are all the Grok bot-like features we're adding to Hermes "Alan's way" in v0.21.5: (including features that are even better than that of Grok bot) 1. General Grok bot behavior: • Telegram approve buttons: you approve or decline every purchase, booking, send, post or submission. The app enforces it too. • "Bot needs you": for a CAPTCHA, login, 2FA or card entry, the bot hands you the tab with a reason and notifies you. • CAPTCHA handback: CAPTCHAs are detected, you get a Telegram ping, and the bot resumes on its own once you've solved it. • Search routing: the bot uses its search tool first, then a tab on your computer, then the cloud VM. That avoids most CAPTCHAs. • Teach by demonstration: record a task once and the bot can learn it as a skill. Passwords and card details are always stripped from recordings. • Morning brief (optional) and /proactivity now for an on-demand check-in. • Weekly "time I saved you" report. • Survives reboots without re-logging in. 2. Voice: casual and concise on Telegram • On by default for every Telegram message the bot writes: replies, check-ins, briefs and scheduled reports. • A cleanup filter removes "Certainly!", headers and walls of bold, and it never touches code or links. • /tone default turns it off. • Some built-in Hermes system messages may not be reachable. Any gap will be documented, not hidden. 3. Context management for long chats • Old, bulky browser output gets pruned automatically. Setup asks you first. • Setup checks your compaction settings. • The bot saves lasting facts to memory as it goes. • A short guide covers it, including how to undo it. Coming tonight!
