gemini 4 argon is priced cheaper than astra and opus 5.5, but it costs more to actually get a task done than both. argon is priced at $2/$10 per 1M tokens. opus 5.5 is $4/$20 and astra is $10/$50. this is why price per token is such a misleading number. a model can look cheap on the pricing page and still end up expensive if it burns through tokens to finish the job. what matters is what you pay per finished task. and right now argon is cheap on paper, not in practice.
