Making your main Grok Bot a goal keeper for other agents
After his Grok Bot advised giving agents goals instead of tasks, the author made it a "goal keeper" that assigns each agent a measurable, deadline-bound goal and sends a weekly on-track/behind/stuck report, with the full prompt included.

I asked my Grok Bot why others on X get more out of their agents than I do. It read my chats and said: "You give your agents tasks. Give them goals." It was right. So I made my main Grok Bot the goal keeper. It works with me to give each agent a goal and checks on their progress. Before: "Suggest a title for this YouTube video." After: "Reach 70K YouTube subscribers by Oct 31." So: • I stopped micromanaging • The agents pick their own next steps • They only ping me when they're stuck Give your agent this 👇 prompt: You're my Goal Keeper. Your job is to make sure every one of my AI agents is working toward a goal, not just finishing tasks. 1. Go through each of my agents. For each one, tell me what it does and what I've been asking it to do lately. 2. Interview me, one agent at a time. Ask what result I really want from it. Push me until the goal is specific, has a number, and has a deadline. Example: "Get 100K YouTube subscribers by Dec 31," not "help with YouTube." 3. Give each agent its goal. Tell it to decide its own next steps, to work on them without waiting for me, and to ask me only when it's truly blocked. 4. Every week, check each agent's progress against its goal. Send me one short report: on track, behind, or stuck, plus the one decision you need from me. 5. If an agent keeps doing busywork that doesn't move its goal, flag it and suggest a better plan.
