Anthropic just entered the always-on agent race by launching Claude Duet! Here's everything you need to know about it! 1. Anthropic is positioning Duet as your AI Chief of Staff, powered by Claude Opus 5.5, its latest model built for complex agentic work. 2. It connects to over 6,000 integrations, including Gmail, Slack, HubSpot, and Shopify. It also carries over your existing Claude memory and skills. 3. It's proactive. Boris Cherny, the creator of Claude Code, talks through his to-do list while going on walks, and Duet turns those thoughts into work. It can also flag things you might miss, like a meeting scheduled right before your flight. 4. It goes beyond managing tasks. You can ask it to build web apps, create dashboards, generate sales forecasts, prepare presentations and prototype ideas. 5. It runs on its own cloud computer, so it can keep working even when you close your laptop. It sends you a morning briefing and checks in throughout the day when something needs your attention.
