How the hell did OpenAI launch Dots without owning Dots .com? Dots .com was originally owned by Dots, a women’s fashion retailer founded in 1987 that grew to around 400 stores across the US. When Dots filed for bankruptcy in 2014, the Dots .com domain was auctioned separately and sold for $335,000. And also the crazy part is dot .com currently redirects to Grok Bot, Elon Musk’s AI.
