San Francisco hosts GPT-6 Astra robotics hardware hackathon in October
Saturday Robotics and the Robotics Center of Silicon Valley are holding a GPT-6 Astra hardware hackathon in SF this October, with M1 dual-arm robots, Unitree G1/Go2 and other real hardware on site to build with in a day.

apparently we decided reading robotics papers every saturday wasn’t enough so now we’re giving people $50k+ of robots and one day to see what they can make them do 🤖 Saturday Robotics @saturdayrobotic × Robotics Center of Silicon Valley @RoboticsCtr are hosting a GPT-6 Astra Robotics Hardware Hackathon in SF this October. rsvp: https://luma.com/jzbe8ytd and importantly: this is a hardware hackathon. no “we built a simulated robot in a notebook” 😭 in one day, you’ll actually get to build on REAL — M1 dual-arm mobile manipulator — Unitree G1 + Go2 — OpenArm — Wuji Hand 2 + Wuji Glove We’re also looking for sponsors + partners — especially model/API access, GPU & compute credits, prizes, food, and cash. If you’re at @OpenAI another frontier lab/robotics company/infra company and want to throw resources at a room full of robotics nerds, please come enable our bad decisions. Huge thanks to @junfanzhu98 and @jerryhuang01 for putting this together with me!
