DeepSeek just made its own search engine free inside claude code and codex V4.1 Flash 1017 dropped today with open weights and their search & fetch APIs are now open to everyone. If you use the deepseek API through claude code or codex search and fetch calls cost nothing until Nov 1. It's the same price as the flash(sept) and if you are already on flash your app gets the new model without changing a thing. Love seeing this. An open model getting better every few weeks is good for everyone building agents.
