Hermes Agent stores its identity, memory and skills in a local ~/.hermes folder
Running ls ~/.hermes shows SOUL.md, memories, skills and config.yaml; the author says his agent runs on GPT-6 Astra through his ChatGPT login with no API bill.
Nous says Hermes Agent is yours. Here's the 10-second way to check: open the folder. ls ~/.hermes → SOUL.md: who your agent is. Plain text. Edit it and the agent changes. → memories/: what it remembers about you. Read it, or delete a line. → skills/: what it can do. Mine has 74. → config.yaml: which model it runs.
