REA 6.5 adds MCP access to Hermes Agent
REA 6.5 can analyze selected JavaScript files, trace bundle relationships and revisit retained evidence, and connects to Hermes Agent over MCP so it proposes an implementation plan before any code changes.
Your Hermes Agent can investigate an app feature before you build your own version. A screen shows what a feature does. It rarely explains the logic behind it. Connect REA through MCP, then give Hermes one focused job: • Trace the feature. • Show the supporting files. • Mark what remains unknown. • Propose an implementation for your project. You get a plan you can inspect before approving code changes. What’s new in REA 6.5: • Analyze selected JavaScript files. • Trace relationships across selected bundles. • Revisit retained evidence in supported workflows. Example prompt: “Investigate this clipboard feature. Show the evidence and unknowns, then propose an original implementation. Don’t modify files yet.” Video credit: @MengTo. His post links REA and explores custom Mac controls for home devices. I haven’t reproduced this with Hermes. Setup, examples and my earlier connection post are in the first reply. Use software you’re authorized to examine. Tool requirements, platform support and model costs vary. Which feature would you investigate first: clipboard, search or export?
