Grok Bot gains X Money plugin for balances and payments
Grok Bot now connects to X Money via an MCP plugin: read-only balance and transaction queries are free, while any money movement needs explicit per-action approval.

BOOM! Grok Bot just got X Money! This is a very powerful way to be able to conduct commerce transactions! I am testing it now with my first purchase! But it is even more powerful than that. It has the ability to do many other things like reading available balances across main, secondary, and joint accounts, and listing transaction history with filters for type, status, direction, amount, and time. Those are read-only and can be queried freely. Actions that move money—sending to another X user, requesting payment, paying a merchant with a virtual card, or moving funds between your own accounts—require an explicit Approve/Cancel confirmation each time. It states the exact parties, amount, and purpose in one sentence. Approval does not carry over, and the server rejects the call without it. Card details for purchases go directly to the merchant and are not shown in chat. The agent relays the server’s result message rather than inventing internals. Tools are available in this session: get balance, get transactions, move money between your accounts, and get address. That means the connection is active for agents that can call the connected tools. Grok Bot plugins are how the link is established, and the design is for agents running under Grok Bot (0.52 or newer) on an eligible U.S. X Money account. The MCP X Money connection itself is the grant, not a dedicated bot. If a bot has the plugin installed and the account is connected, it can use the tools under the same approval rules.
