Union Alpha is a new stealth model, rumoured to be a distilled version of Astra or even a secret model router. Whatever it is, I can't get it to work. I've spent 6 hours trying to run it on OpenCode, only to get stuck in a loop of failures. Feels like a new AI marketing strategy: advertise models as “free” when they're barely usable. I'd rather stick with Gemini 3.8 Flash or GLM 5.3 Flash - cheap, fast, and actually reliable.
