Running 22 Grok Bot agents: why Claude Duet is tempting but risky
A user running 22 Grok Bot agents weighs switching to Claude Duet for Opus 5.5's complex-task handling, but worries about usage limits.
everyone in AI is suddenly launching personal agents. openai has dots, anthropic just announced claude duet, and meta and xai have their own versions too. as someone who's currently running 22 agents on grok bot, here's my take: 1. the biggest reason i'd switch to claude duet is opus 5.5. i've been using it a lot lately and this model feels like agi to me. the reasoning and ability to handle complex tasks are just insane. 2. most of my 22 grok bot agents handle research, monitoring, building, reminders and repetitive tasks. but i still have to double-check more complex work. if duet can reliably handle multi-step tasks with opus 5.5, that's a pretty big deal. 3. my biggest concern is usage limits. running a lot of agents means a lot of background tasks, and opus 5.5 isn't cheap. if duet starts eating through my regular claude limits, i don't see myself switching anytime soon.
