Developer's two-week internal agent build gets commoditized by Shared Grok Bots
He spent two weeks building an internal agent over iMessage and WhatsApp with MCPs on a Mac mini, then Shared Grok Bots and soon-shareable ChatGPT Dots made much of the work feel commoditized.
One of the most important lessons I learned as a programmer: every line of code I write can be obsolete within months, weeks or days. This month, I spent two obsessive weeks building an internal agent for @Interface: it talks over iMessage and WhatsApp, connects to all our MCPs, and maintains a structured company brain on a Mac mini. My goal was an Instinct running on our own hardware, only for business. Then Shared Grok Bots arrived, and ChatGPT Dots will likely become shareable soon. Suddenly, much of my work feels commoditized. That programming lesson now applies to almost everything: all your knowledge work could be irrelevant much sooner than you think. Spend your time and money wisely.
