Cursor Ultra user's Claude account banned right after annual Max payment
An xAI-first user who used Claude for only about 5% of work upgraded to Team and paid a year of Max, then had the whole account banned.

some people watching the Claude drama seem to think my world just collapsed lol not really my stack is xAI, not Claude I’ve been paying $200/mo for Cursor Ultra for a while, and that’s where most of my actual work happens I’ve also kept both the $20/mo ChatGPT and Claude subscriptions around for a long time just as a backup I barely used Claude before that only changed a bit last month when Opus 5.5 came out I tried it on a few things, thought it was pretty good, and started using Claude more for visual work: launch videos, prototypes, UI experiments, that kind of stuff Opus 5.5 is genuinely very good at it but that’s still probably only 5% of my workflow the reason I upgraded Claude to a Team plan was mostly for my support team they’re not developers, so giving everyone a Cursor plan didn’t make much sense then a few days ago I kept hitting Claude limits on the visual stuff, so I upgraded my own seat to Max $100/mo annual was cheaper, so I paid annually hence the $900+ charge right before they banned the whole account 😂 does it suck? absolutely but does it hurt? barely noticeable
