GPT-6 Astra rebuilds Baldur's Gate 3 in the browser in 48 hours

Wow. I gave GPT-6 Astra(high) one /goal: Reverse-engineer Baldur’s Gate 3 and rebuild it in Babylon.js. 48 hours later: OMG. I’m exploring the Nautiloid in my browser. Floating brains behind refractive glass. Pulsing organic surfaces. And I can actually interact with the world: walk, jump, open doors, choose my path in the dialogues and even roll dice for skill checks. Underneath, it reconstructed many things, including: • Volumetric fog with temporal reprojection • Compressed animation curves, body/facial rigs and cross-skeleton retargeting • Subsurface skin diffusion, hair scattering and wind • Depth-aware refraction, HDR auto-exposure and color grading To check its work, it used BG3’s own compiled code: JIT-compiling selected shader calculations with LLVM and emulating ARM64 routines with Unicorn. Astra even watched original videos of the game to compare vs this web version. Astra is still running and this is still an early, partial prototype and there’s plenty left to rebuild. * Astra also used known community tools including MacLarian, libbg3 and Knit. Everything that you see in the video is from this version running in my browser (yes, fps is still low). Ask me any question. Full features list, crazy screenshots and more details below
