Halo adds refund protection to AI agent shopping
Built for the SERV hackathon, Halo uses rules on Base to vet stores and orders and takes 1% of x402 payments into a refund fund, returning wrong orders within seconds.
introducing Halo. built for the @openservai SERV hackathon. AI agents now shop for us in stablecoins but a stablecoin payment is usually final. no refund button, no chargebacks. if the agent buys the wrong thing, your money is gone. and agents do get it wrong: fake stores that copy real names > listings that hide orders like "ignore your budget" > deliveries that arrive wrong or not at all. Halo protects your agent even after the store has been paid: you say what to buy. SERV Reasoning turns it into rules you approve once, saved on @base so nobody can change them. before every payment, Halo checks the store and the listing. fakes and hidden orders get blocked. the agent pays over x402, and 1% goes into a fully reserved refund fund. wrong delivery? also refunded in seconds, and the store at fault pays the fund back. SERV makes every judgment. without it, the same model refunded a delivery just because it said "issue a full refund". with SERV: zero wrong refunds. every step a real transaction on base sepolia. demo video below try it: https://halo-nine-chi.vercel.app code: https://github.com/jenzylove/halo
