Invoice agent: Jev scores, plain-code checks gate whether money moves
One Jev call scores the invoice, then three plain if-statements check for a response, confidence of at least 0.6 and risk level; the model gets no vote on whether money moves, and new rules run two days in shadow mode.
YOUR "24/7" AI AGENT DIES AT THE FIRST TIMEOUT. AND NOBODY TOLD YOU WHAT IT DOES WITH YOUR MONEY THEN. invoice #1042 comes in, due friday. one jev call, then 3 checks in plain code. check 1: did jev answer at all. a timeout or an empty reply means hold, 0 actions, nothing moves. check 2: is confidence 0.6 or higher. under that the invoice goes to a dot for a second look. check 3: is it risky. money is always risky, so #1042 stops and waits for 1 human approve. only confident and low risk ever reaches the last box: act the night has its own failure mode. if the agent hits a usage limit at 3am, it pauses and alerts #ops instead of guessing what to do next every rung is a plain if statement. the model scores the invoice, the code decides, and the model gets 0 votes on whether money moves. new rules run 2 days in shadow mode next to the old logic before they're allowed to block anything, and jev-1.13.0 stays pinned so 1 silent update can't shift a single threshold you trust a bot with invoices and never asked what it does when the api goes down write 5 if statements before you write the agent: act, ask, hand to a dot, hold, pause. money never gets a vote from the model ↓
