Still testing AI storytelling with Kling 4.0. I've found that Kling 4.0 performs better when I add a little cinematic guidance at the beginning of the story. I was also experimenting with specifying each character's height to see if Kling could maintain those differences instead of making everyone the same height. Video 1: Updated version with cinematic guidance and character heights added. Video 2: Original version using nothing but the story itself. Link: https://kling.ai/h5-app/invitation?code=7B8ACA6A4X99 ***This is still a work in progress, but I'm interested to see how far I can push it using storytelling instead of traditional prompting.*** Added this to the top: CINEMATIC STYLE: Gritty, atmospheric early-1980s American slasher horror film. Shot on 35mm Kodak motion picture film with vintage Panavision spherical lenses, 1.85:1 theatrical composition, natural fine film grain, subtle halation, soft highlight roll-off, realistic skin textures, and organic film contrast. Muted earthy colors, deep forest greens, weathered browns, and natural skin tones. No glossy digital appearance, excessive sharpening, HDR, or teal-and-orange color grading. CAMERA: Cinematic 35mm and 50mm lenses for natural perspectives, occasional 85mm close-ups for emotional tension. Slow, deliberate dolly movements, restrained handheld camerawork, subtle tracking shots, and carefully composed wide establishing shots emphasizing the immense scale of Blackwood Forest. Natural depth of field. No whip-pans, frantic camera movements, or exaggerated cinematic effects. LIGHTING: Natural late-afternoon sunlight filtering through dense trees, gradually transitioning into cold blue-gray twilight. Night scenes illuminated realistically by moonlight, flashlights, and campfire glow, with deep shadows and limited visibility. Darkness should feel authentic, never artificially brightened. ATMOSPHERE: Slow-burning psychological dread, isolation, vulnerability, and mounting tension. The forest feels ancient, enormous, and threatening. Suspense builds through silence, distant sounds, subtle movement in the shadows, and unsettling compositions rather than constant jump scares. VISUAL CONSISTENCY: Photorealistic live-action cinematography, believable human movement and expressions, authentic period-horror film texture, consistent character identities and clothing from reference images. Grounded practical-effects aesthetic. No artificial-looking faces, plastic skin, excessive fog, supernatural glowing effects, or stylized CGI. AUDIO: Natural environmental sounds, wind through trees, distant birds, insects, footsteps, rustling leaves, and realistic dialogue. Restrained, ominous horror-film sound design. No constant dramatic music or exaggerated sound effects.
