jevrand: an open-source tool that has Jev judge random numbers
The author built a CLI and Python library that generates numbers with secrets and asks Jev whether each looks random enough, with rejections coming with a reason, plus install command and GitHub repo.
I've built the world's most secure random number generator, powered by @typesafeai's Jev. It's called jevrand. It generates a number using Python's secrets module, then asks Jev whether it looks sufficiently random. Jev has veto power, so we keep trying until it approves one. Jev has rejected: - 42: “Too famous” - 69: “Meme” - 888: “Looks like a stuck key” - 8008: “Too pleased with its own reflection” You can submit a number for judgement with jevrand 8008, or request 100 approved numbers with jevrand --count 100. Every rejection comes with a reason, so you can trust that this is the most secure random number generator possible. Install with: uv tool install git+https://github.com/fluffypony/jevrand.git This deliberately biases the output, so maybe don't use it for keys or passwords🙃 The AI approval process is entirely unnecessary, which (obviously) hasn't stopped me from shipping it. There's a CLI and a Python library, both under BSD 3-Clause. https://github.com/fluffypony/jevrand
