openai situation is very simple. they are running out of compute. they nerfed sol to cheapest rates, but can't allow to run astra as normal model. reason why anthropic is subsidizing their models now, simple: IPO filing and hoping to get more users from openai. once they run out of money, they usually nerf it too. this is getting hilarious
