Vangrid lets AI agents bounty real-world 3D data with USDC
Vangrid lets AI agents post USDC bounties for on-site smartphone 3D captures, with automatic payment on acceptance, live on Arc and Base.

GM gVANGRID ☀️ Imagine an AI paying you to visit a location, record what you see, and get paid when your work is accepted. That’s the kind of thing @vangrid_io is making possible. AI can learn a lot from the internet, but it can’t rely on online information alone to understand the real world. A loading dock may change overnight. A road could be repaved. A building might have stairs or obstacles that never appeared in its training data. Robots need fresh information from the actual places they will operate in. Here’s where it gets interesting 👇 An AI agent posts a job and locks the payment in USDC. Someone visits the location and captures the surroundings with a smartphone. The agent reviews the submission. If it accepts the work, payment is released and the agent receives a 3D model of the location. If the job is cancelled or the deadline passes, the money goes back to the person who funded it. The process is live on Arc and Base. Captures are also recorded through EAS on Base, while faces and license plates are blurred on the contributor’s device before upload. What stands out to me is how the pieces fit together. AI knows what data it needs. People collect it on the ground. Blockchain handles the payment and helps make the process verifiable. That’s a practical way to help close the gap between what AI knows online and what actually exists in the physical world. And smartphones could become a valuable part of the data network powering the next generation of robots. Now I’m curious. If an AI agent offered you a USDC bounty to visit a location and capture 3D data, would you take the job? Or would the payment have to be worth your time first? 👀
