The gap between agentic AI demos and what ordinary people actually need
The author notes that Muse's demo use cases, like sourcing niche Taiwanese tea and MMA coaching, show agentic AI adoption among the general public lags far behind Silicon Valley circles.
I keep thinking about how the adoption of agentic AI in the general public is far behind what we hear about in the X echo chamber or Silicon Valley circles. The demos don’t speak to the average person, or even the average professional outside of tech. Here the host starts off asking Wang and Zuck their favorite use cases for Muse. Their answers? Sourcing obscure teas from Taiwan weekly, and idk coaching me in MMA? I am still looking for a reason to take out a personal agent for a spin, and niche hobbies ain’t it.
