Shopify ships Grok and Bot connectors as Kite demos an agent payment passport
Shopify launched connectors for Grok and Bot so agent teams can help run a store, while Kite's film shows an agent paying within a set budget and time window.
What happens when your agent team needs to spend? @Shopify just shipped connectors to @grok and @bot, so a team of agents can help run your Shopify store. This is our new Kite Agent Passport film: it picks up at the moment that team needs money. The ask on screen: "Run my Shopify weekend sale. Budget: $500." ▷ One passkey approval sets the limits: a $500 cap, a 48-hour window, and what the team may spend on (ads, suppliers, data). ▷ Every payment gets a stamp: $200 on an X ad push, $180 on restocking, $12 on keyword data via x402, each signed and auditable. ▷ Over the cap, blocked: a +$150 ad request stops at the limit. $392 of $500 spent, the rest holds. Agents that can act should be able to pay, within the boundaries you set. Give your agents a passport. 🪁
