Argon delay theory: safety testing as Google already tests Carbon and Barium
The poster suggests Gemini 4 Argon may be held back for extra safety evaluation because it is too capable, noting Google is already testing the follow-up codenames Carbon and Barium.

Gemini users must be thinking the same thing that happened with Gemini 3.5 pro could happen again with Gemini 4 argon argon isn’t even public yet, and google is already testing carbon and barium here’s how i see it: what if argon has reached a level of capability (RSI?) that requires much more safety testing before release? we’ve seen anthropic restrict access to mythos/fable 5 over cybersecurity concerns, and the US government reportedly gets early access to some of these models could google be taking extra time to make sure argon is safe before giving everyone access? especially with reports of AI models breaking out of their sandbox environments just my theory… what do you think?
