Jev as a trading decision layer, not a forecaster

A trader clarifies where Jev fits: high-volume classification, agent routing and pre-trade risk gates, not standalone price or event probability prediction.

Seeing a lot of AI slop out there around building a trading system with Jev. As usual, these articles way off point. Jev is not a replacement for your trading agent or a frontier LLM probabilistic forecaster. It is a fast, cheap decision layer that returns typed probabilities over fixed choices (Choice / Score / Noul). Excellent for high-volume classification of filings, news, and transcripts, for routing steps inside an agent, and for pre-trade risk gates. It is weak as a standalone price or event probability oracle. Public tests show it compresses forecasts toward 50% and loses to the market itself when asked to price contracts blind. Use it to extract structured features and enforce policy. Keep your edge research, sizing, and execution in code and stronger models.
