Tabisto: a calm, light redesign for a Chrome new-tab bookmark manager
Redesigned site for Tabisto, a Chrome bookmark manager and new-tab extension. The maker swapped a dark neon look for a light one because the old style didn't match a calm product. The hero reads "Quietly organized." over real extension screenshots, followed by a black "Pick a mood. Keep the calm." wallpaper section and review cards.
I redesigned the whole http://tabisto.app site this week. Dark and flashy before, light and quiet now. The old site looked "cool" but it said the wrong thing. Tabisto is a calm new tab for Chrome. A dark neon landing page sold the opposite feeling. What changed: 1. Light first: the product screenshot does the talking, not the gradients. 2. Real screens only: every image is the actual extension on one wallpaper, so it reads as one product. 3. Light and dark side by side: you drag a divider over the hero to compare both modes. 4. Plain words: shorter lines, no hype, every number checked. 5. One proof line: rating, 700+ users, private, works offline. Built it with Claude Code as my pair.
