Haus Hunter: a Grok Bot for house hunting
The author built a Grok Bot called Haus Hunter because Zillow filters can't express real search rules, letting it read photo details, factor in commute and crime, and keep filtering listings against those rules.
I built a Grok Bot @bot @grok because Zillow filters can’t do what real estate searches need. Listing sites want a single number like “2 beds, 1.5 baths.” But real people have rules like: - 1 bed only if it has 1.5+ baths, otherwise 2 bed 2 bath. - Walk to the beach proximity increases budget up to $1,000 more. - Community pool OR freestanding bathtub in bathroom. Just as important, many listing features are only found in photos!! Carpet in the bathroom isn’t in the listing text, its in photo number 15 if you look closely. And filtering “15 min commute” isn’t enough. Real people need to know Wednesday at 5:40pm with traffic and what the 2AM crime reality is for that block.
