ToolBook serves technical books to AI agents over MCP
The author packages books like Effect Oriented Programming, plus tools such as javadoc lookup, as MCP services for AI agents and launches mytoolbook.ai to host them.
Back in March I started providing my Effect Oriented Programming book via MCP (possibly the first ever book-over-mcp). This enables AI agents to have access to the expertise that my co-authors and I put into our book. It also enables us to include additional tools along with our book chapters, like maven central javadoc / source tools (via http://javadocs.dev). Now that I'm working on a couple other books (Effect Oriented Programming TypeScript Edition & Bootiful Spring AI) I thought I should generalize the idea of books & tools for books over MCP. The EOP and @BruceEckel's Thinking in Python (free!) ToolBooks are now available via http://mytoolbook.ai Give it a try and let me know what you think!
