Developer says Argon launch hype is all "end of coding" talk
The author argues Google leans on "the end of coding" hype with every model release, and that real coding-task performance matters more than strong benchmarks.
Argon is a Jargon.. 🥲😂 everytime when gemini announces a model we hear "The end of coding" making hype does make your product better looking at the current situation, I don't think they'll ever make it to the top Google needs to focus on how it trains and improves its models, just like Open ai & Anthropic do. Releasing a new model with impressive benchmarks isn't enough. What really matters is how well it performs in real-world coding tasks. AI is getting better, and there's no denying that. but every new model release doesn't mean software engineers are about to become obsolete.
