Frame: an open-source project tool for coding agents, built on a dot-grid canvas

An open-source project management tool for coding agents like Claude Code and Codex, built around spec-driven development, with a white dot-grid canvas, a bracket logo and the monospace tagline "Your engineering mind, in Frame!".

We have passed 400 stars on Github! Downloads from 30 countries. What a journey. All of that with 0 budget. We've been building Frame intensively since the start of 2026, and from day one we've been trying to answer some fundamental questions and turn the answers into a product. Today's software development and project management tools are built on one assumption: humans write the code. In a world where AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex etc. write the code, and will keep writing more of it, that assumption no longer holds, and almost everything around it will have to change. For us, the biggest question is this: in this new paradigm, as software projects grow, how will we build and manage them, and with what tools? Agentic software development brings huge advantages, and it also creates new problems. At Frame we're working on those problems as: keeping context across sessions, keeping agents on track as the codebase grows and more. We're also trying to apply the core principles of software engineering to AI-assisted development. Our motto is the same as it's always been: good analysis, good plan, good outcome. That's why spec-driven development is at the heart of Frame. A few updates: ⭐ Frame is open source, If you'd like to support us, download Frame, use it with Claude Code, Codex or your favorite AI coding agent, and send us your feedback. A star would mean a lot too. We've redesigned our website. We put frame in it. Of course It isn't fully functional, but you can get a feel for what working with Frame is like right there. https://frame.cool
