GPT-6 Astra builds a fly-inspired digital brain that controls a virtual human to fetch a mug
A fly-style digital brain trained with 96 virtual neurons and 12 sensory signals controls a virtual human walking, balancing and retrieving a mug, succeeding in 87 of 100 trials.
this is insane - i built FLYHUMAN with GPT-6 Astra After a full day, thousands of control steps, and 100 simulations, a fly-inspired digital brain learned to control a virtual human. It can walk, balance, move its arms, find a mug, pick it up, and carry it across the room. The system uses 12 sensory signals, 96 virtual neurons, and 1,152 recurrent connections: SENSORS → NEURONS → MOVEMENT → NEW INFORMATION → NEXT MOVEMENT It completed 87 out of 100 trials. The 3D fly controls everything using six legs and its proboscis. Maybe one day flies will learn to control humans in real life... Code, tests, and research data are in the replies ↓
