Vangrid lets agents pay humans over HTTP to capture real-world locations
An agent sends an HTTP request, gets a 402, pays USDC on Base, and a human contributor captures the location, with the 3D reconstruction returned through the same API with no account or API key.

software agents can call APIs all day but what happens when the API needs someone physically standing at the location? that the part of @vangrid_io i keep coming back to an agent can request a specific real-world capture with an HTTP call receive a 402 then pay USDC on Base through x402. no traditional account or API key is needed once funded, a human contributor can walk the brief, capture the location, and the reconstruction comes back through the same API flow. the use case makes sense to me because satellites see roofs and mapping fleets mostly see accessible roads, while loading docks, stairwells, stock rooms and other ground-level spaces remain difficult to capture on demand. so the loop becomes demand first → funded bounty → human capture → 3D reconstruction → usable spatial data, rather than collecting an enormous map and hoping someone needs it later. i am still wondering about the economics will an agent really lock $50–200 and wait for a human capture when it needs one specific place? the infrastructure is live but demand has to prove the model. has anyone seen an agent-posted brief actually get captured and turn into a usable 3D reconstruction?
