An AI model can rank near the top and still be painfully annoying to use. MiniMax says its M3.1 Flash is faster and cheaper than its predecessor. But one independent evaluation reported a much lower speed than the company's headline claim, and a high hallucination rate on its own test. Leaderboard position ≠ a model you'll enjoy using.
