ChatGPT for Business launches with Dots agents and Space workspace
The author reviews OpenAI's new Dots agent, Space workspace and Sol model, concluding that most businesses should wait before adopting them.

the new chatgpt for business just came out here's what it means for your business, and whether to do anything with it: DOTS (the agent) openclaw was the OG agent with its own computer. dots are that, made cute and easy, and nestled into the whole chatgpt ecosystem. same move grok bot made they run 24/7 and live in your slack and teams. which is a pretty big deal. putting the agent where the team already talks is one of the most powerful things I've seen in my own business and my makeover clients'. nobody has to learn a new app ✓ works where your team already is, and you set what it does alone vs what needs your sign-off ✗ the big one: you can't specialise it or run a whole team of them yet. one dot per person. specialist dots are enterprise pilots for now, and I'd bet the rest comes as they scale up compute SPACE + PAGES (the workspace) basically notion with your agents inside it ✓ your team and agents share the same docs ✗ doesn't hold your business data yet (CRM, books, calls) THE MODELS ✓ 6.1 sol costs the same as sonnet 5.5 ✗ openai models only THE PRICE ✓ first dot comes with pro, free to run for a month ✗ no published cost after that my read: most businesses should wait. the other labs will answer this soon. I pay for claude max and codex max myself, and I'm not picking a side yet if your team already runs on chatgpt, it's a good first step. put one agent in your slack on one real job just know there's a switching cost if something better lands next quarter
