Shiitake: an open-source agent harness pitched as a Grok Bot and Dots alternative
The author presents Shiitake and Oyster, an open-source agent ecosystem claiming to do what Grok Bot, Dots and Hermes do, with a TUI and web dashboard.

If you have been following me you have seen me talk about shiitake, but I haven't explained much. Shiitake is an agent harness that runs in a DO not a container. Most companies running agents at scale could save millions. But its not just a small agent. It's an entire agent ecosystem. Oyster is a distributed OS with Shiitake at the core. You can tie a network of computers to platform or custom apps, define workflows, set schedules, scrape the web. Whatever you would do with Grok Bot, Dots, Hermes, Ect. It has a TUI for you CLI nerds. It has a web dashboard. You can set up an agent and turn him into your sites chatbot, connect it to telegram, whatever. It's yours and all the code is open. You can run the whole system easily on the $5 paid workers plan, or throw it on a Hetzner VPS on CellD. You might also know that I hate VC funding. To retain full ownership of the project I am hoping to find support from the crypto community and have set up a community coin to further development. 412ECWXN3jGbd1kn8ck7eeupWttkmrFkNm9JqfAzpump
