DeepSeek is insanely cheap compared to other AI models. API cost per 1M output tokens: DeepSeek V4.1 Flash: $0.60–$1.20 DeepSeek V4 Pro: $1.98–$3.96 GPT-5.4 Mini: $4.50 GPT-5.4: $15.00 DeepSeek Flash is up to 25x cheaper than GPT-5.4. Price is still one of DeepSeek’s biggest advantages.
