local-terminal-mcp connects plain ChatGPT to a local Mac repo
The open-source MCP server lets ChatGPT inspect a repo, edit code, run tests, commit, push and open PRs, while image and sprite generation stays on the local machine to save usage.

Forget OpenCode. I connected normal ChatGPT to my Mac with a tiny MCP server. Now it can inspect my repo, edit code, run tests, commit, push, and create PRs, basically the local-agent workflow I’d otherwise use OpenCode/Codex for. But the part I care about most is game dev: Codex burns through usage insanely fast when you start generating images and sprite animations. With ChatGPT + local tools, GPT can orchestrate the whole workflow while the actual images are generated on my machine. So I can iterate on sprites without spending a usage token on every generation.
