User renews SuperGrok Heavy for Grok Bot despite weaker Grok models
The author says Grok models lag behind Claude and OpenAI, but Grok Bot is a genuinely excellent personal assistant and closer to the ideal than Dots, so with the unified subscription they plan to try the 15x usage tier first.
I've been waiting for this since the rumors started. I've been on the discounted SuperGrok Heavy plan for the last couple of months, and the discount is about to run out. I couldn't justify renewing at full price. The Grok models have been underwhelming compared to Claude and OpenAI. But Grok @bot has been legitimately fantastic. It's my personal assistant in all senses now. It's what Dots wants to be but clearly isn't. So I didn't want to lose my Grok Bot usage. Now that the plan is unified, AND my X subscription will be included, this one is a no brainer. For me, it's just choosing between 15x and 50x usage. I'll probably try 15x at first and see where it gets me.
