Astra's release pushed Anthropic to ship Opus 5.5 sooner, author argues

I will die on this hill Anthropic wouldn’t have dropped a model as good as Opus 5.5 this soon if GPT-6 Astra never happened. now Opus 5.5 is putting the pressure right back on OpenAI, and they apparently have a lot lined up for DevDay competition pushes companies to build better products. and i trust OpenAI to make this more interesting next week.
