Pi 1.0 is out! In the demo, Pi builds a custom extension that uses Claude Opus for planning, GPT for implementation, and Jev to decide when to switch. Pick which model handles each part of the job. The release also adds native MCP support through Codemode, deferred tool loading and cache warming for Anthropic models. They also released Pi Durable for building longer-running agents outside the terminal. That package is still experimental.
