Using Jev for 70–500ms typed judgments in a trading loop
A walkthrough of handing market state to Jev to judge regime, whether flow is toxic, and whether a setup is worth taking, returning a typed decision for the trading system to execute.
I STILL DON’T KNOW WHY EVERYONE ISN’T USING THIS YET TypeSafe’s Jev is built for one thing that normal LLM calls are terrible at: MAKING FAST DECISIONS. The idea is surprisingly simple. Your trading code handles the market data, pricing, inventory, execution, and hard risk limits. Jev gets the small but important questions: → What regime are we in? → Is the current flow toxic? → Is this setup worth taking? It can return a typed decision in roughly 70–500ms, which makes it interesting for a trading loop that never sleeps. Market state comes in → Jev makes the judgment → the system acts → state updates → Jev gets the next decision. No asking an LLM to reinvent the entire strategy every few hundred milliseconds. Just fast decisions plugged into an actual trading system. This is a very different way to think about using AI in HFT. FULL BLUEPRINT BELOW https://x.com/0xRicker/status/2101343432929059319/video/1
