Critic says OpenAI's Grok Bot clone needed a standalone Dots app
The author argues Grok Bot works because it is its own product rather than a tab inside the Grok app, and calls putting Dots inside OpenAI's main app a major mistake.
OpenAI built a Grok @bot clone, but missed the most important part: a dedicated "dots" app. I don't know who makes these calls at OpenAI, but this is a big mistake. Grok Bot works because it's its own thing going on, not a tab buried inside the Grok app. That's a HUGE advantage! OpenAI fundamentally doesn't get how products like this work, or how REAL people actually use them. Did an actual human being make this call, or did they just ask ChatGPT?
