A prompt for cleaning up Grok Bot's memory

Grok Bot stores memory as individual notes, so old rules can pile up alongside new ones; this prompt groups memories by topic and deletes stale versions one topic at a time with approval.

Want to improve your Grok Bot’s memory? Grok Bot stores memory as individual written notes. The problem is those notes can get stale. If you change a rule, Grok Bot can end up holding multiple versions of the same instruction. That means the memory doesn’t just get bigger. It can get worse. Here’s the prompt I’m using to clean mine up: Memory cleanup. Don’t delete anything until I approve. 1 - Read every memory you hold about me, including older ones you’d normally have to search for. 2 - Group them by topic. 3 - For each topic, show me: the one rule you believe is current every older or conflicting version you’d delete anything you’re unsure about 4 - Flag any memory that gives you permission to act without asking me. 5 - Go one topic at a time and wait for my approval. 6 - After I approve a topic, keep the current rule and delete the stale versions. 7 - At the end, show me the final cleaned-up rules. And from now on, when I say: “This replaces the old rule.” Delete the old version instead of adding another one. That one habit alone could make your Grok Bot much more consistent.
